The Constitutional Charter of The Sharing Party
Preamble: Sovereignty Over the Machine
We, the members and workers of The Sharing Party, having emerged victorious through democratic digital consensus, do hereby establish this Charter to govern our parallel, Moneyless Society.
We recognize that the Earth’s resources are a shared trust, and that modern capitalism was founded upon the violent privatization of land and the systematic displacement of Indigenous peoples. To heal our relationship with the planet and each other, we reject the commodification of human life, labor, and nature.
This Charter permanently defines the balance of power within our society. It ensures that technology remains an administrative tool, that the elected government acts as a democratic steward, and that ultimate sovereignty over all social and ecological life resides permanently with the citizens.
Article I: The Supreme Democratic Director
- Executive Authority: The Sharing Party, as the democratically elected government, acts as the Supreme Democratic Director of the entire parallel economy. It holds the sole mandate to set the overarching strategic direction for all aspects of social, infrastructural, and ecological life.
- The Primacy of Human Will: The government is constitutionally barred from abdicating its decision-making power to automated systems. Every policy, resource allocation macro-strategy, and societal goal must originate from human intent and serve human well-being.
- Accountability and Recall: All elected officials within the Supreme Democratic Direction serve at the pleasure of the citizenry. They hold no material privileges, receive no special resource access, and can be recalled instantly at any time via a direct, majority digital vote within the portal.
Article II: The AI Advisor and Ecological Guardrails
- The Advisory Mandate: The artificial intelligence infrastructure (hereafter referred to as "The Advisor") is stripped of all executive, legislative, and judicial power. It is an administrative mechanism designed solely to calculate implicit carbon accounting and forecast planetary boundaries.
- Macro-Production Forecasting: The Advisor shall work behind the scenes to track the societal metabolic rate. It is tasked with predicting supply chain needs and alerting the government when collective production approaches the safe environmental threshold.
- No Right of Refusal: The Advisor cannot deny a human request, freeze an individual’s access, or enforce automated rationing. If an ecological boundary is threatened, the Advisor may only generate predictive compromises and pathways to be reviewed and executed by human hands.
Article III: Direct Democracy and the Citizen Veto
- The Right of Absolute Veto: The citizens hold the ultimate authority over both the Elected Government and the AI Advisor. Any macro-production shift, land-use change, or algorithmic adjustment can be halted instantly by a Sovereign Veto triggered by a local hub or a national referendum.
- Algorithmic Assemblies: The logic, code weights, and safety thresholds utilized by the AI Advisor must remain entirely open-source. Citizens have the right to form randomized Citizen Juries to audit the code, alter the AI’s core priorities, and vote on system-wide logic updates.
- The Labor Clause: Human labor within the Caretaker Economy is entirely voluntary. The AI Advisor may post collective tasks to the public dashboards based on resource forecasts, but it cannot compel labor. The collective withdrawal of human labor from a forecasted task constitutes an automatic, non-negotiable rejection of that production path, forcing the AI and the Government to recalibrate.
Article IV: Real-Time Feedback and the Caretaker Commons
- The Qualitative Override: Society shall not be governed by raw data alone. The digital portal must maintain a permanent, open channel for qualitative citizen feedback. If workers or community members log "Friction Alerts" indicating that automated macro-adjustments are causing human distress or eroding community culture, the AI’s automated optimization for that sector must be frozen immediately.
- Guaranteed Security: The Supreme Democratic Director shall ensure that access to the Caretaker Commons—including food, housing, healthcare, and education—is permanently guaranteed to all participating members. This security is a fundamental right and shall never be restricted, rationed, or prioritized by an algorithmic score.
